Centennial Fair!!

For me the Centennial Fair was one of my most sad experience because I was not able to enjoy it just not having enough money for me to ride the ferris wheel and the other game booths that are the reason why I am about to cry but still I have my friends with me in mingling with me wherever they go and sometimes treat me for foods and one thing that I will never forget is when they let me borrow their money so that I can go in to the Scary Booth that I'll never forget because the scary people there are trying to really make me scared and one thing that I got mad is that the other students that are beside me trying to pull and push me until I can't longer breath so fortunately there is Sir. Secular to calm those students who've been trying to kill me just because they are scared. So that Centennial Fair was a sad experience and at the same time memorable for me!! :))))) HAPPY CENTENNIAL YEAR ASSUMPTION-ILOILO!!:)))

Ghost Month ( August ) !!!!

Sunday, August 29,2010. I watched Mel and Joey in GMA and that particular evening I discovered that the month of August is said to be the Ghost Month as the Chinese believe in because a Feng Shui expert said that in the Chinese calendar, August is the 7th month and it means it is an unlucky month where Ghosts are free to roam around and they can come back where they died or to their houses/ family. So one evidence or proof that August is a ghost month is that the Feng Shui expert predicted that the month of August is the month where many people will die and unexpected events will happen so when August came one controversial news until today is the hostage drama last August.23,2010 that many foreign hostages died also the 2009 Miss International, Melody Gersbach, died because of the car accident in CamSur and also the bus accident that happened in Benguet and other bad events that happened and that results to the death of many people. So now I believe that if it is a ghost month a getting to married couple must not celebrate their wedding at this month because it is a bad luck and also no rennovations in houses because you can disturb a ghost. So now I believe in the Ghost Month of August!! :)

Student Congress!!

Last August 21,2010 we, the LCB-A Officers, hosted and facilitated the Student Congress of CEPA. At that week before the Student Congress we did all the I.D'S for 400+ students who came that day coming from Bcolod, Capiz, Aklan, Pototan, Passi, Anique and of course here in Iloilo. For our school, the 5 third year students were there to represent our school. So that week was exhausting because as I said earlier we made or typed on the computer 400+ I.D'S for those students who attended and also during the Students Congress we facilitated the registration of the students arriving in the venue in Holy Rosary Academy Molo, Iloilo City and so for this we were going back and forth looking for the names of the students joining the Congress and also the lists of the students from their schools. We listened also to their speaker, Councilor Jason Gonzales and we watched also the environmental film prepared by Sr. Mary Fidelis r.a. Our foods there are free, we have egg, ham, and cheese sandwich for snacks in the morning with a C2 green tea drinks. On our lunch we have a fine dining lunch with mouth-watering main courses and desserts. So after the program we served as the choir there during the mass with Mr. Alexander Romero. So that day was a memorable day in bonding with my co- officers in LCB-A. :)

Card Day!!!

When I received my report card I didn't open it only after few minutes and before we went home. I slowly opened it and I was shocked for having straight O's in my major subjects and in Journalism so I'm not that happy because I only got VS in the minor/ non-academic subjects but still happy for not having an S grade. I can't believe that even though I got sick because of nose infection I still got straight O's in the major subjects so for this I am very thankful but for those subjects that I only got VS I will really strive hard more to earn also O to those subjects. Actually, it's hard for me to get all of the subjects O and of course how to maintain my O's in order to be exempted during the 4th quarter examinations. So good luck to me!! :) When I opened my card I was really shocked because at first I thought I only got VS grade in Journalism so for this I'm lucky!! Hehhehe!! :)

Exams...Exams.....Exams!!

Exams are over last August 7,2010 Hew!!! Finally, it's the last day of thinking widely and correctly in order to have good scores and grades in each subjects. The last subjects are Science and Journalism. Uhmm.... Science is kind of difficult especially in memorizing those biologists and their contributions in Biology that I felt that I am going to be a crazy woman someday while the Journalism exam was kind of easy and a little difficult but still I'm trying to do my best in answering those exams properly and correctly despite with my nose already infected and painful so still trying my best to earn good grades. After this last day of exams almost everybody went shopping at the ACzaar and some are at the malls, shopping and etc. while others went home straight and slept after the long studying time during examination days. So now 2nd Quarter started and it's a sign that we go back to zero again and do our best again to maintain our good grades or do our best to gain our low grades. IT'S A NEW BEGINNING FOR ALL OF US.

Inauguration Day of Noynoy Aquino lll!!

Noynoy Aquino Inauguration – This coming Wednesday, June 30, 2010, the new Philippine president will be conducting his inauguration. The day was proclaimed to be a non-working holiday so it is expected that millions of Filipinos will bear witness to this important event of our country. The event will be held at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila and will start with a prayer service which will be telecast throughout the whole nation which will start at 6 a.m and will end at 9 a.m. The general assembly of guests on the other hand will start at 8:30 a.m.

This is indeed one of the most memorable event in the history of the Philippines as many of our countrymen are expecting the newly elect president Benigno Noynoy Aquino to lift the Filipino people from slumber. President Noynoy Aquino is expected to leave his home in Quezon City at around 9:45 a.m. and will go to Malacanang Palace to fetch former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and then will be heading to Quirino Grandstand. Most of the Filipino people are anticipating this grand event which they can experience by watching on Televisions or listening to Radios. I just hope and pray that the new leadership in the Philippine Government will have the muscle to impose justice and transparency throughout the whole nation.

So I really went in front of the television just to witness the most awaited event of our newly elected president so I really copied all the things he had said during his speech because this serves also as our assignment during this holiday so every detail I listed it and really listened carefully to his speech. So " MABUHAY ANG ATING BAGONG PANGULO, MABUHAY SI PANGULONG NOYNOY BENIGNO AQUINO lll"

Taize'!!!!

Hew!!! Finally I can now rest after being awake for the whole night and doing the activities actively so when I went home 6:00 in the morning I ate my breakfast and then I sat for a few minutes while chatting with my mother what had happened during the Taize' and after that I slept from 7:00 until 1:30 in the afternoon non-stop but when I woke-up I remembered about what had happened during the Taize' so this goes 3:00 in the afternoon we were told to go to school before the Taize' for attendance checking and for the giving out of the name tags. We waited there in the classroom until 6:00 in the evening going to the Centennial Sports Complex for the Taize' Prayer Vigil be solemnly started and to welcome the other students from other schools. So when we started the Taize' Vigil Prayer started we first have a short opening prayer and we watched a short film about poverty here in our country. So after that, we were ask to look at our name tags and locate where the shapes are and then we must proceed to the shapes we were designated to go so there we met new friends from other schools like Assumption Passi, West Bridge School, Ateneo de Iloilo and etc. So after that we made activities together and then at about 9:00, I think, we ate our dinner together with our groups. So after that we listen to the talks of the two female speakers unfortunately the sound systems are not that good enough in order for us all to hear what the speakers are saying so when we were task to share about what have we heard so the only thing we know is about the pyramid we sang at the end of the talk. So then we went doing activities until 5:00 in the morning where we attended the mass as a thanksgiving mass for the successful of the Taize' Prayer Vigil and so after that we already went home with our faces exhausted. So I must say that the Taize' was a SUCCESS!!!!!
