Ain’t No Mountain High Enough!

Last February 24, 2011 (Thursday) we had an excursion to Ajuy specifically in Camp Regulus and Gawad Kalinga. I think this is the most memorable field trip ever in my life not just because my flat shoes was torn and my toe was already seen but it is the most memorable because we really crawled up to the top of the mountain because the pathway is really steep and slippery depending to the kind of shoes you are using and we also broke the record that the past second year learners did that is reaching only up to the big tree and not climbing further to the top but us we, without knowing where to stop, succeeded to almost reach the top – almost because Abby or the tourist boy said when we almost reach the top that there’s no way to continue our journey but for me, I think he forgot only the way because there are still ways, the wide and the narrow one so, when he said that there’s no more way we stopped immediately and went down again going to the cottage or the house down the mountain. Unfortunately, we needed again to pass through the steep and slippery pathway going down and the funny thing is that most of us especially me slipped accidentally and everyone screamed because of nervous and laughed so, we had a great time there. After going down from the mountain, we immediately packed our things up and that’s the time I lost my hand towel and my mother scolded me for that anyways we immediately went to our bus and went to the Gawad kalinga location and there the staff ad of course the daughter of the mayor there, Isabella Alvarez, welcomed us warmly and offered us food such as “ Ginat-an “, corn, Kalamay hati and etc. after the program prepared by the staff and the beneficiaries there. And after that, we went home with big smiles on our faces. But wait, I haven’t told you yet that the water on the waterfall we found there tastes very good and sweet and it is so cool to the skin. Anyways, that’s all we did while on an excursion.
