Deer!!!!!

Being a deer as role is a disaster and exhausting work especially when you are looking and making for your costume and being carried by your classmate, actually I'm really shy when Mikah carried me on her right shoulder during the play and of course during the practices but of course for the sake of our play to be successful, I did it even though I am shy and another thing that cause me to be shy, is my costume because I am only wearing leotards and tights with brown spots and horns or what you may call that thing......... But in the end I was happy because we won and I can say that I really contributed a lot as a deer!!! YEHEY!!! :D

Playbill for our CAF Play!!!

Playbill for our CAF Play!!!
After our class in CLE and it was a Friday, we are all cramping because it was the day when all the programs, posters and playbills are going to be gathered for the contest on Monday so all of us who were concerned about helping our classmates and class adviser in making those posters, playbills and programs, we went to the ITCC where we are doing those things and so I helped but when there’s 10 minutes left only from the time of the submission, Aurora and Bettina asked me if I can get them some dried leaves around the playground downstairs and so I said yes and I also asked Alex if she can go with me to get some of those dried leaves but unfortunately it rained so almost all of the dried leaves are wet and we can’t use them for decoration if they are wet and so we gathered only few of those dried leaves and then we went again up stairs to give them those dried leaves and so when they saw those leaves they said that it was only few and they asked id I can gather more nut I insist because the leaves left there were all wet and so she asked me if I can do our play bill for our CAF play and so I said, I only have 5 minutes to do this work, what are you expecting me to do to rush and you’ll just tell me to make it beautiful? You must be kidding, right? Okay fine!! “ So I did in a hurry that playbill and just tore most of those leaves and just made them to serve as borders and I just put 3 big and good- looking leaves in the corner of that cartolina and then I asked Mrs. Pasaporte, if she can print me a bigger program to paste on the cartolina as the playbill, so she printed me one but this time bigger than the program and so I paste it and find some decorations and paste it also to the cartolina and so after I’d finished that playbill they now asked me if I can pass it to the High School Growth Community and so I rushed because it was passed 10 minutes by the time of the submission so I asked Mrs. Sardua if I can pass and she asked me if why did I pass it late and she said did you work alone and I said “ Yes, Ms.” And she accepted it.

Jars!!!

December 1, 2010, we have a class with Mr. Guintivano and he arrived in our classroom seeing us in Indian position doing paper flowers for our props in both CAE and CAF so when he noticed that we have a difficult time doing those paper flowers, he taught us an easier way in doing the paper flowers much easier and to look more like a flower with petals in obvious. So when I am I the middle of doing those paper flowers in different colors, I remembered that I am suppose to make some jars for Lord Indra’s kingdom for our CAE play ( Indra is the God of India ) and so I am roaming around looking for a jar that will serve as our base in making a paper machete for the jars and so I went to the classroom of St. Elizabeth for me to ask if I can borrow their jar to serve as the base foe our jar and their directress told me that their jar was brought already to the home of the owner of that jar and I ask them if I can borrow their paper machete of a jar also and they said its not with them also so I asked Jessica Cuello if I can borrow their mineral water container with that long neck and she said they also borrowed it to a water drinking station owned by Isabella Villlanueva so I thanked her for the time and so I am still looking for a jar / jars for us to use as props during our CAE play for lord Indra’s kingdom but when I went up the stairs to go to the HS AVR I saw Isabella Villanueva and I said hi but fortunately she said she can lend me those 3 mineral container of hers and I thanked her and I am so happy so I immediately brought those 3 mineral containers down stairs in our classroom to be in order to be covered by newspapers with a Zoy as our glue and so we made it with my other classmates helping me and so when the jars are dried already we painted them immediately with a mahogany in color paint but it was supposed to be gold in color but unfortunately, we only have that mahogany color paint because our class fund was not enough to buy again another paint because of so many props we also bought, so we decide to just paint them with mahogany in color paint anyway they are just props.

TATOY's MANOKAN AND SEA FOOS RESTAURANT PRACTICE???

It was a holiday, when our directresses in both CAE and CAF agreed that we will practice at TATOY’S RESTAURANT and Heloisa agreed also that we can practice there and eat our lunch there with discount and I told them I am not sure if my parents would allow me to go and practice there and then at first my parents didn’t agree because it is far from our home good only if it is only in school but it’s in TATOY’S but I told them that the attendance would be checked and we will make some of our props and the other materials are with me so they allowed me in the end but I was panicking because Princess said that she will fetch me and the dormers at school at exactly 8:00 but I arrived there at about 8:15 already so I got nervous and about to go home because when I arrived there, there’s no signs of second year learner there but good thing is that I saw Aurora’s car and I saw her so I went back again to the information to talk with her why did they arrive late and I really thought that they left me and then when I asked her where is Princess she said that Princess is still on her way here in school so when I heard it, I was like going to be a crazy woman because of what I heard and what I thought that they left me alone at the school going to Tatoy’s to practice. But it’s good that Auwie and Jamielyn were there and I have companions there while we are waiting for Princess to fetch us with the other dormers. After a few minutes, Princess arrived and she fetch us with her sister by their car going to tatoy’s but before going there we need first to fetch Hannah because the props for the play are with her because she is our props manager in CAF, so we went to her house in Imperial 3 Mandurriao and then we moved our props to Princess’ car and then we rode going to Tatoy’s then when we arrived there we immediately proceeded to one of the buildings there where special occasions were celebrated and there we moved our props to that building and then we set are things there but unfortunately and unexpectedly they are just opening their facebook accounts and just doing things on their laptops but some of them are doing the programs for the CAE and CAF play and just few are practicing their lines but we focused on the warriors of Florante, Osmalik and Miramolin for us to get the best in choreography and hours have passed and they can’t wait to eat our lunch, they decided to go to Atrium in Villa to buy some drinks and foods and one by one we went to Villa’s Atrium then after we go back again to Tatoy’s and one funny thing when we were riding on a jeep going to Tatoy’s again so excitedly Yzabel thought that we are already in Tatoy’s and we will g down the jeep and so she shouted “ Sa lugar lang manong!!” and Aurora second the motion and then I said “ Wala pa manong ah layo pa gani sng Tatoy’s, sign board lang na nakita niyo mo nga pangalan sng Tatoy’s!!! Hehehheheheh!! :D “ and then they all laughed with the passengers also laughing with our mistake actually Yzabel’s and Aurora’s but then the driver got confused and drove again so we all laughed and then I said “ Ari na ta ho sa Tatoy’s, amo ni ya ang tuod nga Tatoy’s Hehehehh!!” so we went down the jeep and talked about that mistake of thinking that the sign board says that Tatoy’s Restaurant is located there!!!! So we went inside the building where we are practicing and the staffs of the restaurant are preparing our table where we are going to eat and then when the foods are ready we sat together at the table, we prayed first and then we passed the food around to everybody and ate, In the middle of our lunch probably they noticed that I eat so fast and much so they teased me that maybe I will become and fat and because of that they are putting their rice on my plate and they are cheering me like “ Go Rhosebhet, You can do it!!!!” And by the time that they are full already they left the table leaving me there alone still eating and when the granddaughter of the owner of the Tatoy’s Restaurant saw that there are many left-overs so she said “ Kanugon man ni sang mga pagkaon man!!! Rhosebhet, dal-a na lang nib ala kay kadamo gid ya sng bilin kanugon sang kwarta nga gin bayad niyo!! “ but I said to her. “ Sa staff niyo dib a la, padala lang sa ila!! “ but she insist so she packed it for me and I said to her “ Kadamo gid ya ang iban kat Yzabel na lang kag Krizzianne para makadala man sila!! “ So Yzabel and Krizzianne also packed and the three of us thanked Heloisa and the staff . So we went on with our practices and whatever things and about 2:30pm they decide to take pictures with different positions and emotions, all of us!!! IT WAS FUN!! Then after that we packed our things up ready to go to Heloisa’s house first to moved again our props there and then me, Princess and the dormers decided to go home ahead of them because we all need to go home already because we have our own appointments and so we rode with Princess’ car going to SM City because Princess need to go there and so she just dropped us there and we( Jamielyn and me ) rode the jeep going to Assumption-Iloilo and so we went home and there our practiced ended.

Mastery Test 1in Statistics!!

It was the day of our mastery test in Statistics and that day was a disaster because we took three mastery tests and those subjects are so difficult namely, Social Studies, Math and Statistics!!.... Social Studies was a success because it was the first mastery test that we took and my mind was fresh still in that time and the result was really good I got a perfect score. But when Math took place I was like rushing to answer the questions and it was really hard because I got confused by the numbers and I forgot some of the formulas and so I can’t remember how to answer some of the items just a guess and unfortunately, I didn’t finish the Mastery Test but Ms. Layson said that it is okay not to finish everything just what we can answer. But the worst thing is that my Statistics Mastery Test 1 score was really a disaster and I was about to cry that time because probably of that sick score and got mixed with me exhausted body because of play practices so I hate myself that really time because I was like mental block out and I can’t really remember almost all the lessons good thing that I can remember some and still I got s score more than the passing score but it was really not okay for me!!! IT WAS A DISASTER!! I got mixed up the math and statistics lessons so I also got confused again……… I WILL REALLY MAKE IT UP DURING THE 2ND MASTERY TEST IN STATISTICS AND MATH!!!!

CAE Play Awarding!!

After we ate our lunch with special foods from Tatoy’s Restaurant, we proceeded to the St. Anne’s hall for the awarding of the CAE best plays. So we went again to the mezzanine as our station, we are also filled with nervous and excitement and also all of us almost lose hope and confidence that we will win as the best play this time in our CAE play and so the CAE teachers started the announcing of the winners but now they are announcing all the prizes for the first year and to the rest except the best directresses and best plays so we were tensed because we really thought that it could be either Anastasia or Esther of the other sections who will win because as if almost all of their actresses won and just few from us BUT… when the major awards were announced the St. Anne gathered all the prizes for the major awards except for the best script and so we gained a little hope that we can win as the best play in CAE!! Our directresses also won as the best directresses among the three sections of the second year. And then here it comes, THE BEST PLAY GOES TO>>>>>!!!! I was crossing my two fingers and whispering there with myself that we can win and so------AHHHHHHH!!! SAINT ANNE SHAKUNTALA!!! WE WON!!!! YEHEY!!!! HEHEHE!!! :D And so we actually won that w actually don’t expect!!!!

CAF Play Awarding!!

After our swimming class, we excitedly as well as nervously speed up going to our classroom to prepare ourselves for the awarding and to line-up going to the St. Anne’s Hall. All of us are almost going to lose hope of winning the best play of Florante and Laura among the second year because we believed that the Year 2 St. Elizabeth will win because we saw their play and we were amaze because of the acting performance of some of their characters and the way they carry themselves. When we arrived there we immediately went up the mezzanine where our station was, when the awarding ceremony starts our directress beside me is already sweating because of nervous even the St. Anne’s was air-conditioned and I also admit that I am also like going to faint or something because it’s a big thing to us especially this where our Periodical scores or grades will be taken and after all the exhausting practices and shopping of our props downtown just walking, it’s really a big thing for us to won and so we are in that kind of reaction, emotion, situation or whatever….!! First the CAF teachers announced first the best actress in female and male roles and etc. by year level and then the major awards like best in technical effects, costume, script and etc… then the best directress and by this time I was really shocked because I was not expecting to win as the assistant directress of Princess and also Jesselle, we didn’t really expect that we will be recognize as the best directresses and also we won as the best script among the three sections and we claimed the prize and certificate with us all the scriptwriters like Mandee, Me, Princess. Jesselle, Auwie and a lot more……. But the most important thing is the best play after the first year, the I said to myself,” Oh, MY GOSH!!!!” I felt that I am going to burst and then I shouted as my normal reaction------------ WE WON!!!!!!!!! HUH?? DID WE REALLY WIN???? HEHEHE!!! And the when I was about to stand up, the three of us the directresses, Sr. Paz told us St. Anne, I think you don’t deserve this, you will just get your prize here after the 4th year and so St. Anne became quiet when they heard Sr. Paz said that but still we are happy that we won!! YEHEY!! WE DID IT!!!

Florante At Laura!!

November 30, 2010, Early morning after our short morning praise, we started to prepare ourselves for the play in CAF after the section of Catherine because we picked the second part of the story of Franciso Balagtas which is the Florante at Laura. Early morning all of us felt nervous but also excited to perform especially to those who have roles, everyone is busy in changing their clothes, putting on their make-ups, making our props and starting to move them to the St. Anne’s Hall to be ready to use, buying Cartolinas and pins in the bookstore, styling their hairs and many more, even me I am busy changing my clothes and putting on make-ups that would fit to me as one of the “ tsismosas” during the time of Florante at Laura. One funny thing that I realized while I am changing my clothes into a ruffled white dress and when I looked on the mirror, I laughed at myself because I looked like an old woman but I don’t have a choice but to wear it because it is already our final play and I don’t have enough time to change and look for another dress, I am thinking, why are we going to wear gowns as “tismosas” during the time of Florante at Laura? Uhmmmm… I realized that instead of wearing those gowns we should wear “ Dasters” or “ Bestidas “. Before our play starts, we agreed that before starting the two plays, we must pray first and do some tension exercises in order for us not to panic backstage which is the major reason why some plays fail to win because of panic and being absent- minded but we do some exercise to lessen or overcome those tensions in ourselves. After a half hour, it is now our turn to perform , everyone is cooperating and calm when we went in all of us carried all our props and helped moving them, then we started to perform and so scenes went through smoothly but also there are times when they skip some of the characters’ lines and sometimes they don’t know where to exit and enter and also what to do but then thank you to CHRISTIE SALDANA who really worked hard to be as funny as she could as Menandro, the best friend/ classmate/ like brother and etc……, she pulled some of my classmates’ mistakes. Our Florante and Laura have the chemistry so they are comfortable to each other and they act together very well. When it is the time we need to go out as the “ tsimosas “ I really heard many people who were shocked because they can’t believe that I was one of those “ tsimosas “ and I heard that they can’t recognize me as Rhosebhet especially the 3rd year learners and I asked myself, Is my make-up that really thick and ugly? “ Hehehheheh!! I laughed at myself just in my mind!! And then when we are about to end Florante must be captured and tied in the tree by the soldiers of Adolfo, unfortunately, the curtains didn’t close and also the lights on the right wing ( actor’s point of view ) and another is that no one was about to captured Florante so Angela and Justine take into Action in order to fill up supposed to be the dead scene because the soldiers who were supposed to capture Florante forgot to capture him so the two of them take into action and they were like tornados roaming around the stage and also our Florante probably because they don’t expect it to happen but still they coped up and the scene goes on and then after Florante’s monologue, that is the signal where we end our performance and it was successful and again we shouted because of happiness. We are very thankful to our beloved directress who is really following up the characters and the crew about the progress of our play. And we are really proud of her!!! THANK YOU, PRINCESS!!!

Shakuntala!!

December 2, 2010 before lunch we performed our play which is Shakuntala!! before that we are so excited as well as nervous because we realized that after all of our practices and props making, preparing all the things needed during the play, we are now going to paerform it with all our gbest and seriously. At about 8:00 after our short morning praise, we lined-up outside our classrooms and we proceeded to theSt. Anne's Hall to watch the play of St. Catherine which s Anastasia and even not reaching the middle part, we all vacated and went to our classroom to prepare ourselves for our play after the St. Catherine, so all of us are crowded there inside the classrooms changing our clothes and putting our make-ups on our faces and others are carrying the props tothe St. Anne's Hall in order for us not to panic if it is our turn already so we are carrying the props one by one. Then after, plays of the St. Catherine and Elizabeth we went to the GAllery beside the ST. Anne's Hall to pray first there and have some Tension excercises in order for us not to be so tense when it is already our turn........ Finally, we went inside to prepare our props and the settings while our actresses are rehearsing their lines inside the Dressing room. Then, after 3-5 minutes we started our play and the dancers danced but unfortunately, some of them are laughing as if it is a joke dancing during our play so we are very disappointed because of that but still the show must go on. Then, we proceeded to the other scenes until tghe love dance started and by the time when they went inside the hut, the careless whisper song started to play and the hut was shaking violently and so I was shocked because I never thought about it so I just laughed backstage wearing my ridiculous outfit as a deer... adn then I was roaming around going back and forth, arranging and moving the props and then going up,where the backdrops are located, waiting to shower on the pieces of crepe papers for the wedding scene but before that I act first as a thin and small deer carried by Dushyanta played by Mikad Trabajo and when she went out the stage they were like shouting " Woah " as if they were shocked because Mikah is carrying me that time but I didn't mind them and still I played dead without moving up the stage like a dead statue. Near the ending, the family of Shakuntala that was played by Angela Gorriceta, were like celebrating after all her son finally met his father and they lived happily together and they organized a celebration where in some of the minor characters went out the stage just to eat lechon baboy and manok and act as if they were part of the scene. After that, our play ended successfully and because of happiness we shouted back stage and finally have the curtain call where all of us danced as we were introduced by Karla Oteda with the song Jaiho!!! Yehey!!!! We made it and after that the guest schools asked us if they can take a picture with us and so we smiled and said cheese!!!! WELL DONE ST. ANNE!!!!!!! KEEP IT UP!!!! CONGRATS!!!!! HEHEHEHE!!! :D

Moments going to downtown!! :D

Yesterday, November 22, 2010! Me and Mandee Bernadas were tasked to go to downtown and buy some props from there especially the gold cloth that is 3 meters and worth 23 pesos per meter along with the cloth are the brown paint and 3 pieces of dark green cartolina. First, we traveled from school to YMCA and then we rode the Bo. Obrero jeepney going to Taylay near the Central Public Market, when we arrived there, I immediately asked the saleslady if what is the cheapest cloth and then she said " Gena Cloth " so I said if we can see it and then we saw it and then we asked for the gold gena cloth. After that, we walked from Taylay going to Ace Hardware to buy a can of Mahogany paint but before that we went to the school supplies area and we looked for 3 pieces of dark green cartolina but unfortunately, we didn't find one, so we went to Ace Hardware and there find the paint. After that, we went to Atrium and look again for the darek green cartolina and there at last we found but unfortunately again, it lacks 1 but we dicided to buy the two and just go home, anyway, we are tired of walking. And lastly, we went to school to get our baga but the moment we entered the campus we were terrified because the campus was so dark and there's no one there excpet for dormers who were eating their dinner at the Refectory so when we wen tin to get our bags near the Casa Santa we noticed a lady walikg and as if she is floating in the air and my hair in my arms went up and so I ran away so fast going to the growth community office. We are about to ask Ms. Talaman to help us get our bags but we saw Sir. Secular inside the Highschool Growth com. and so we decided that insteaed of Ms. Talaman it will be sir. Heheheheh!!.. :D So we successfully got our bags and we went home exhausted.!!!!

Social Studies' Project!!! :)))

Last Saturday, October 16,2010, I made my project in Social Studies, which is a diorama and it is about the country of Sri Lanka and believe me I had a hard time doing that project but I made it within two days, actually it is not hard but in my case without any printer at all in our home, I am having a hard time especially printing in colored files and without Internet connection at home so it is hard and very exhausting and also one major, major problem of having problem in doing my projects is that financially we are poor and I am only here because I am just a scholar here and i am very grateful for that golden opportunity in havingthe gift of Assumption Education especially to us who are in great need of a scholarship. Each of that bondpaper costs P 15.00 each in colored and P 5.00 in black and white maybe to rich families it is just a small amount but for us poor families it is a great sacrifice just for projects but it is okay as long as it is in project or assignment purposes. And of course, I will not forget what happened to me when I brought that diorama with me in school last Monday!! I am full of bags beacuse it is the day when we have our swimming class and the day of submitting several projects like social studies, statistics and etc. I also brought plants beacuse I thought we willm present our investigatory project nut then again my thoughts are wrong. :DDDDD

Tumbling!!! :))

The last days of our PE Class we have our tumblings and stunts and believe we have a hard tim practicing all those tumblings and stunts but not me I'm not boasting but I learned fast because I'm into fir dancing so I am flexible. As we are doing the tumblings I'm just observing my classsmates doing those tumblings and as I looked at their facial expressions thy really did their best to make their bodies more flexibl especially those who have a very healthy body, They can't afford to bring their bodies up and be so flexible so for me being small and thin is a blwessing beacuse I can do things that healthy and chubby persons can't. So I really enjoyed doing th tumblings and stunts especially when they lift me up and do stunts up there as if we are doing cheer dancing!!! Hhehehhehhehe!! :D

Examinatins......... Hewwww!!! At last done!!! :)

October 7-9, 2010!!! Our Examination Days!! First Day: Math, Science and Journalism; I admit that even though I love Biology it's very difficult because I felt my brain would shrink, actually, it was not that really difficult instead time pressures us especially the exam was very long so we find it difficult because we need to run after the limited time which is I think at about 1 hour so many of us didn't finish the exam but still I made it to the finish line but the funny thing is that I am not sure if all of my answers are correct because some of my answers are just guessed, heheheheheh :D. Math was not that hard but kind of easy for me now because the exam given to us is short that all of us made it to the finish line, hehhehehe :))). And the Journalism was that kind of easy also especially because it is all in multiple choice so we don't need to think that much harder because we have choices to choose from. Second Day: Statistics, Social Studies and CLE; Our Statistics exam was easy because it's just enough for us to finished answering all the items. Social Studies was kind of easy also because I got to familiarized the questions in the test so it was easy for me to answer much faster. And lastly, CLE, I didn't made to finish it because the essays are so many that I need to think and write faster. Last Day: CAE and CAF. CAE for me is the most difficult among all of our tests but i made to finish it. CAf was really east!! :D

SM CITY!!!!! :D

Me, Yzabel, Aurora, Carmina and Jesselle!!! We decided to look for our CAE Play by surfing the internet to look for some best Afican- Asian Plays so we went there and believe me I waited for them almost three hours in front of the National Bookstore but when I feel I look stupid there I go inside and buy also materials for my project because I remembered it while standing alone so I went inside for a while and after I'm done I'm back again outside the store texting with Jesselle and Aurora until Jesselle came and at last I had a companion. 5 minutes later, Aurora came also and the funny thing is that we said we will meet outside the National Bookstore but instead she went inside and waited for us there, she is keep on texting on us if where are we and we said we are already there but then when we look back, we found her there laughing!! :D So when we are complete we went to Netopia and there we surf the internet but instead researching we are just chatting and laughing until our time was consumed so we didn't have enough time and money to research again. One thing that we will not forget is that when we didn't have the opportunity to come and see for Toni Gonzaga at that time in personal because we need to buy her album worth 300 but our money are just enough for food and transportation so we went home depressed but still wearing our smiles because we really enjoyed bonding and laughing together. :))))))

Journalism!! :((

September 8, 2010. Second period in the morning it was our Journalism Class with Mr. Gerano but when our class began we had our check-up quiz about the latest news in and outside our country so September 7, 2010 evening I studied and listened to the news but unfortunately when we had our quiz I only got 4 out of 10 so again I am about to cry but worst of all my score in our quiz in the book about the theories in news writing I only goyt 3 out of 15 imagine that score so again and again I am about to cry but I said to myself I will really strive next time to pull those scores up and I hope Mr. Gerano will help me in pulling those scores up becasue I have difficulty in studying Journalism now so this is the result. :((

My worst scores in my life!! :(

Finally, when I got my mastery tests in Science and Math I was really shocked bacause my scores are low but still I passed but for me it was really terrible. So I said to myself what did I do to make those scores low actually I studied very well ever night and stay longer hours just for me to study but unfortunately I got those scores so I said to myself this is not the end of the world, Rhosebhet!! There is another chance during the Mastery Test 2 so when I receive the papers on those subjects I have said I was about to cry but I realize that those scores are just testing my faith in God and they are just trials that I have to overcome in my life and to correct my mistakes. GO RHOSEBHET, YOU CAN DO IT!! :))))

September!!

September 9 is the 252nd day of the year (253rd in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. There are 113 days remaining until the end of the year. This my Birthday!! And for this I am very thankful!! My mother told me that if I went out in the evening of September 8 my name coul have the name also of Maria but unfortunately I went out 1:01 in the morning of September 9, 1996 so it's like that. I love this day because I like my birthstone, Sapphire, and also it is one of my favorite number. And this day is my lucky day always. :)))) HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!

Maria Venus Raj!!!

Maria Venus Bayonito Raj (born July 7, 1988) is a Filipina beauty queen. She was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Universe on March 06, 2010 during the pageant's Grand Coronation Night at the Araneta Coliseum. She represented the Republic of the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2010 beauty pageant and placed fourth runner-up to Jimena Navarrete of Mexico."You know what, sir, in my 22 years of existence, I can say that there's nothing major major, I mean problem that I've done in my life because I'm very confident with my family, with the love that they are giving to me. So thank you so much that I'm here. Thank you, thank you so much!"Raj received the highest rating in the Miss Universe website, with 3.54 points, the highest-ever for a Filipina delegate. So for this her controversial and famous answer during the Question and Answer portion made me more proud to be a FIlipina!! MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS!!!! :))))

The Hostage Drama!!!

Last August 23,2010. Dismissed Manila Police District senior police inspector Rolando del Rosario Mendoza has taken hostage 25 people on board a Hong Thai tourist bus in front of the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park, Manila. This is a terrifying and at the same time sad event that happened in the history of the Philippines that marked also to the citizens of Hong Kong that they think all Filipinos are like Mendoza!! So for now many Filipino OFW's lost their work in Hong Kong some are being discriminated by the Hong Kong citizens. So now our image in the Philippines was stained. In an attempt to inform the world of the good things about Philippines following Monday’s hostage crisis, 15-year-old Reigno Jose Dilao writes a letter to the world. Dilao, a 4th year student of Samar National High School, posted the letter at CNN’s iReport site Monday at around 10:00 P.M. after the hostage crisis ended leaving at least 10 people dead, including the gunman.

Happy Fiesta!!

August 15,2010, It's the barrio fiesta of Bo.Obrero and it is also the time we , the Assumption Community, have our procession as celebration of the 100th Centennial Years of Assumption-Iloilo. So even though I want to attend the Barrio Fiesta and ride on the Ferris Wheel, I can't because I need also to celebrate with the Assumption- Iloilo's Centennial Year that can't happen that I am still alive for the next 100 years. But on the 14th of August my family and I went already to the carnaval to play fun games like "pula puti", "color by color", and "longong". But still I enjoyed also the procession even though it's tiring. The procession and the celebration of the Assumption-Iloilo's Centennial Year was a success!!:)))

Centennial Fair!!

For me the Centennial Fair was one of my most sad experience because I was not able to enjoy it just not having enough money for me to ride the ferris wheel and the other game booths that are the reason why I am about to cry but still I have my friends with me in mingling with me wherever they go and sometimes treat me for foods and one thing that I will never forget is when they let me borrow their money so that I can go in to the Scary Booth that I'll never forget because the scary people there are trying to really make me scared and one thing that I got mad is that the other students that are beside me trying to pull and push me until I can't longer breath so fortunately there is Sir. Secular to calm those students who've been trying to kill me just because they are scared. So that Centennial Fair was a sad experience and at the same time memorable for me!! :))))) HAPPY CENTENNIAL YEAR ASSUMPTION-ILOILO!!:)))

Ghost Month ( August ) !!!!

Sunday, August 29,2010. I watched Mel and Joey in GMA and that particular evening I discovered that the month of August is said to be the Ghost Month as the Chinese believe in because a Feng Shui expert said that in the Chinese calendar, August is the 7th month and it means it is an unlucky month where Ghosts are free to roam around and they can come back where they died or to their houses/ family. So one evidence or proof that August is a ghost month is that the Feng Shui expert predicted that the month of August is the month where many people will die and unexpected events will happen so when August came one controversial news until today is the hostage drama last August.23,2010 that many foreign hostages died also the 2009 Miss International, Melody Gersbach, died because of the car accident in CamSur and also the bus accident that happened in Benguet and other bad events that happened and that results to the death of many people. So now I believe that if it is a ghost month a getting to married couple must not celebrate their wedding at this month because it is a bad luck and also no rennovations in houses because you can disturb a ghost. So now I believe in the Ghost Month of August!! :)

Student Congress!!

Last August 21,2010 we, the LCB-A Officers, hosted and facilitated the Student Congress of CEPA. At that week before the Student Congress we did all the I.D'S for 400+ students who came that day coming from Bcolod, Capiz, Aklan, Pototan, Passi, Anique and of course here in Iloilo. For our school, the 5 third year students were there to represent our school. So that week was exhausting because as I said earlier we made or typed on the computer 400+ I.D'S for those students who attended and also during the Students Congress we facilitated the registration of the students arriving in the venue in Holy Rosary Academy Molo, Iloilo City and so for this we were going back and forth looking for the names of the students joining the Congress and also the lists of the students from their schools. We listened also to their speaker, Councilor Jason Gonzales and we watched also the environmental film prepared by Sr. Mary Fidelis r.a. Our foods there are free, we have egg, ham, and cheese sandwich for snacks in the morning with a C2 green tea drinks. On our lunch we have a fine dining lunch with mouth-watering main courses and desserts. So after the program we served as the choir there during the mass with Mr. Alexander Romero. So that day was a memorable day in bonding with my co- officers in LCB-A. :)

Card Day!!!

When I received my report card I didn't open it only after few minutes and before we went home. I slowly opened it and I was shocked for having straight O's in my major subjects and in Journalism so I'm not that happy because I only got VS in the minor/ non-academic subjects but still happy for not having an S grade. I can't believe that even though I got sick because of nose infection I still got straight O's in the major subjects so for this I am very thankful but for those subjects that I only got VS I will really strive hard more to earn also O to those subjects. Actually, it's hard for me to get all of the subjects O and of course how to maintain my O's in order to be exempted during the 4th quarter examinations. So good luck to me!! :) When I opened my card I was really shocked because at first I thought I only got VS grade in Journalism so for this I'm lucky!! Hehhehe!! :)

Exams...Exams.....Exams!!

Exams are over last August 7,2010 Hew!!! Finally, it's the last day of thinking widely and correctly in order to have good scores and grades in each subjects. The last subjects are Science and Journalism. Uhmm.... Science is kind of difficult especially in memorizing those biologists and their contributions in Biology that I felt that I am going to be a crazy woman someday while the Journalism exam was kind of easy and a little difficult but still I'm trying to do my best in answering those exams properly and correctly despite with my nose already infected and painful so still trying my best to earn good grades. After this last day of exams almost everybody went shopping at the ACzaar and some are at the malls, shopping and etc. while others went home straight and slept after the long studying time during examination days. So now 2nd Quarter started and it's a sign that we go back to zero again and do our best again to maintain our good grades or do our best to gain our low grades. IT'S A NEW BEGINNING FOR ALL OF US.

Inauguration Day of Noynoy Aquino lll!!

Noynoy Aquino Inauguration – This coming Wednesday, June 30, 2010, the new Philippine president will be conducting his inauguration. The day was proclaimed to be a non-working holiday so it is expected that millions of Filipinos will bear witness to this important event of our country. The event will be held at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila and will start with a prayer service which will be telecast throughout the whole nation which will start at 6 a.m and will end at 9 a.m. The general assembly of guests on the other hand will start at 8:30 a.m.

This is indeed one of the most memorable event in the history of the Philippines as many of our countrymen are expecting the newly elect president Benigno Noynoy Aquino to lift the Filipino people from slumber. President Noynoy Aquino is expected to leave his home in Quezon City at around 9:45 a.m. and will go to Malacanang Palace to fetch former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and then will be heading to Quirino Grandstand. Most of the Filipino people are anticipating this grand event which they can experience by watching on Televisions or listening to Radios. I just hope and pray that the new leadership in the Philippine Government will have the muscle to impose justice and transparency throughout the whole nation.

So I really went in front of the television just to witness the most awaited event of our newly elected president so I really copied all the things he had said during his speech because this serves also as our assignment during this holiday so every detail I listed it and really listened carefully to his speech. So " MABUHAY ANG ATING BAGONG PANGULO, MABUHAY SI PANGULONG NOYNOY BENIGNO AQUINO lll"

Taize'!!!!

Hew!!! Finally I can now rest after being awake for the whole night and doing the activities actively so when I went home 6:00 in the morning I ate my breakfast and then I sat for a few minutes while chatting with my mother what had happened during the Taize' and after that I slept from 7:00 until 1:30 in the afternoon non-stop but when I woke-up I remembered about what had happened during the Taize' so this goes 3:00 in the afternoon we were told to go to school before the Taize' for attendance checking and for the giving out of the name tags. We waited there in the classroom until 6:00 in the evening going to the Centennial Sports Complex for the Taize' Prayer Vigil be solemnly started and to welcome the other students from other schools. So when we started the Taize' Vigil Prayer started we first have a short opening prayer and we watched a short film about poverty here in our country. So after that, we were ask to look at our name tags and locate where the shapes are and then we must proceed to the shapes we were designated to go so there we met new friends from other schools like Assumption Passi, West Bridge School, Ateneo de Iloilo and etc. So after that we made activities together and then at about 9:00, I think, we ate our dinner together with our groups. So after that we listen to the talks of the two female speakers unfortunately the sound systems are not that good enough in order for us all to hear what the speakers are saying so when we were task to share about what have we heard so the only thing we know is about the pyramid we sang at the end of the talk. So then we went doing activities until 5:00 in the morning where we attended the mass as a thanksgiving mass for the successful of the Taize' Prayer Vigil and so after that we already went home with our faces exhausted. So I must say that the Taize' was a SUCCESS!!!!!

Centennial Celebration!!

Our Centennial Celebration was a success!! Happy 100th Years Assumption- Iloilo!! As a choir it's hard to practice every 12:30 and 3:30 everyday and of course there's a lot of expectations to us because we are the one's making the mass and ceremony colorful and we need to behave because we are all afraid commiting mistakes because Mrs. Ga will get mad to us and we need to sing well with no mistakes like an angel!!. That day, July 15,2010, We, the choir, attended 2 masses the other is at the school with the Grades 1-3 and at the end the learners let their balloons flew with those balloons are their wishes written in a piece of a rectangular cartolina. And the other is in the Jaro Cathedral with the whole Highschool and the whole faculty and staff of the school. There we praise nad thank God that we reached up to 100 years. There also the " Miracle Baby of St. Marie Eugenie " attended and also thanked God for the miracle that happened to her. And so that was a great day of celebrating the 100th Birthday of Assumption-Iloilo!!

Mrs. Marlyn Escleto Pasaporte!

Mrs. Marlyn Pasaporte, the adviser of Year 2- St. Anne, as her student we know that she is very kind and very supportive to us especially during our medicine drive she wants us to win not just for her but to all of us who contributed but this is not our intention, to win, but to help people especially our partner schools and barangays who cannot afford to buy medicines for their own health. Mrs. Pasaporte is also our Computer teacher and I like that subject because the lessons are easy and every time we have free time after our assigned activities so she gives us time to visit our facebook account and other websites. And she told my mother that she have no problem with the section that she handles now the section of St. Anne during their First Parents' General Assembly and she is very happy that know how to descipline ourselves sometimes. And so we love her so much!!

My Best Friend!!

My Best Friend is Aika G. Helera she studies in Iloilo Chinese Commercial Highschool. She is my classmate in ASEC ( Assumption Socio- Educational Center) and of course she is our 2nd Honor while me as our Class Valedictorian. We studied together since Nursery - Grade 6 but unfortunately we were separated this highschool because her religion is not Catholic and her mother don't like for her to study there because she can't participate well because of that difference but here in Assumption- Iloilo whatever is your religion you can study here as long as you trust in the only God. But anyways my mother and her mother are friends too, we share things in commmon so I think that is the way we are meant to be best friends.

Sea Shells On the Sea Shore!!

It was thursday, July 8,2010! We cleaned the shells located along the way going to the canteen and behind the bookstore. Mrs. Clement told us that those shells were not cleaned yet after how many years and now we are assigned to clean those shells with a very bad odor but still it is now our responsibility to clean those shells for the upcoming Open House on the days of Wednesday and Thursday, July 21-22, 2010,. When we are cleaning with my Laboratory group it was fun and we are allowed to take pictures especially taking pictures of the shells for us to research about these shells like it's common and scientific names. We used Baking Soda for the odor of these shells be remove and to remove it's stains. That day is a special day for us to have teamwork and practicing in doing our responsibilities as a student of the school.

Paksiw na Isda!!

Paksiw na isda is fish poached in a vinegar broth usually seasoned with fish sauce and spiced with siling mahaba and possibly containing vegetables. Paksiw na Isda is my favorite because my grandmother cooks this food everytime especially when we are having trouble in money for buying our food. I know that this food stinks so much especiallt when you do not brush your teeth after eating this food despite this fact I just like the " sabaw" of this food because actually I don't like eating fishes but because it smells and tastes good I want this food to eat it everytime with matching softdrinks but I know that drinking softdrinks can cause a health problem because of its acids.

Pink!!

Pink is a pale red color; the use of the word for the color we know today as pink was first recorded in the late 17th century.Roseus is a Latin word meaning "rosy" or "pink." Lucretius used the word to describe the dawn in his epic poem On the Nature of Things (De Rerum Natura). The word is also used in the binomial names of several species, such as the Rosy Starling (Sturnus roseus) and Catharanthus roseus. In most Indo-European languages, the color pink is called rosa.Pink!! This color really makes me happy everyday and makes my day complete and colorful throughout the day. I know that this color really expresses a girly type of person but this does not mean that you are a girl some boys also like the color pink. When I compare my favorites to others I found out that I have classmates and schoolmates who have the same favorite color as mine.

Mural Painting 2010!!

We have our mural painting started during the whole day of July 10,2010.We enjoyed because we shared jokes and some funny experiences. Me and Aubrey must interview an entrepreneur that day at F& C Guanco but unfortunately we decided to help our classmates paint and also we don't know if the person we must meet will be around at his office that day so instead of wasting our time in our own homes doing nothing we helped our classmates anyway it is a class project so it is worth it to help them. My mother scolded me when I arrived at home 4:00 in the afternoon because I didn't ask her permission to stay longer in school without having eated since morning and I disappointed her because she thought that I will interview the entrepreneur I told her. But I explained to her why did I arrived late and not eating lunch at home. But anyway while we are painting, the rain started splashing at our faces and on the painting we are doing. So we ran quickly searching for umbrellas just to cover our painters and of course the wet painting of ours. So we end the day taking pictures with Sir. Rene Secular. That was so memorable as well as disappointing for my mother.

Which will I choose my father or the books??

Second week of class we already use our books and I said to myself " Where will I get the money to buy these books??" at that time we are experiencing a great financial problem because we are also repairing our house for the preparation of the rainy season. My father is doing his best in looking for money especially he have a hard time working because of his broken leg at his right and also he don't have a permanent job he is just a family driver sometimes and he also have a shop in fixing cars but it does not have regular income. So now I don't have all the books only two new ones and three old ones but that is not enough for all the subjects I have. But I am trying to understand for as I said my father don't have regular job and my mother don't have work just in our home taking care of us. And also I am not just the only child we are actually three siblings and of course they are also studying. So now I am just listening to my teachers very well and I take down notes for me to have reviewer when we will have our quizzes or mastery tests and examinations.

Trip to Boracay!!

We went to Boracay last summer on April 21,2010. It was fun and it's my first time to visit this amazing place actually my second time because I went here with my family when I was still 3 years old but of course I didn't recognize the beauty of the place. But anyway, we just went here with our other relatives because we want to support my cousin, Dhannylaine Demontano, in gaining her confidence and her friend co- beach volleyball player to win this beach volleyball competition sponsored by Nestea Fit and of course to win the price worth 100,000.00 for the champion. They are competing with other schools like Adamson University, Bacolod State University, Camarines Sur University and etc... they are representing the school here in Iloilo which is The Central Philippine University Iloilo. We stayed there for about 4 days. 3 days passed by and they competed with different schools until the 3rd day which is the championship game in the women's division, under the heat of the sun, we watched her game and I felt that I will die because of heart- attack for the game is so suspense that I felt my heart will stop beating. But our shouting and jumping there is worth it because they won the game as the champion. So there we didn't just watch the Beach Volleyball game but also morning, noon, afternoon, evening and mid-night we swam throughout the days we stayed there. And so at the 4th day at 4:00 we started travelling going back to Iloilo. We treasure that moment as we have our vacation with my other relatives. IT WAS FUN.......
