Our Centennial Celebration was a success!! Happy 100th Years Assumption- Iloilo!! As a choir it's hard to practice every 12:30 and 3:30 everyday and of course there's a lot of expectations to us because we are the one's making the mass and ceremony colorful and we need to behave because we are all afraid commiting mistakes because Mrs. Ga will get mad to us and we need to sing well with no mistakes like an angel!!. That day, July 15,2010, We, the choir, attended 2 masses the other is at the school with the Grades 1-3 and at the end the learners let their balloons flew with those balloons are their wishes written in a piece of a rectangular cartolina. And the other is in the Jaro Cathedral with the whole Highschool and the whole faculty and staff of the school. There we praise nad thank God that we reached up to 100 years. There also the " Miracle Baby of St. Marie Eugenie " attended and also thanked God for the miracle that happened to her. And so that was a great day of celebrating the 100th Birthday of Assumption-Iloilo!!

Mrs. Marlyn Escleto Pasaporte!
Mrs. Marlyn Pasaporte, the adviser of Year 2- St. Anne, as her student we know that she is very kind and very supportive to us especially during our medicine drive she wants us to win not just for her but to all of us who contributed but this is not our intention, to win, but to help people especially our partner schools and barangays who cannot afford to buy medicines for their own health. Mrs. Pasaporte is also our Computer teacher and I like that subject because the lessons are easy and every time we have free time after our assigned activities so she gives us time to visit our facebook account and other websites. And she told my mother that she have no problem with the section that she handles now the section of St. Anne during their First Parents' General Assembly and she is very happy that know how to descipline ourselves sometimes. And so we love her so much!!
My Best Friend!!
My Best Friend is Aika G. Helera she studies in Iloilo Chinese Commercial Highschool. She is my classmate in ASEC ( Assumption Socio- Educational Center) and of course she is our 2nd Honor while me as our Class Valedictorian. We studied together since Nursery - Grade 6 but unfortunately we were separated this highschool because her religion is not Catholic and her mother don't like for her to study there because she can't participate well because of that difference but here in Assumption- Iloilo whatever is your religion you can study here as long as you trust in the only God. But anyways my mother and her mother are friends too, we share things in commmon so I think that is the way we are meant to be best friends.
Sea Shells On the Sea Shore!!
It was thursday, July 8,2010! We cleaned the shells located along the way going to the canteen and behind the bookstore. Mrs. Clement told us that those shells were not cleaned yet after how many years and now we are assigned to clean those shells with a very bad odor but still it is now our responsibility to clean those shells for the upcoming Open House on the days of Wednesday and Thursday, July 21-22, 2010,. When we are cleaning with my Laboratory group it was fun and we are allowed to take pictures especially taking pictures of the shells for us to research about these shells like it's common and scientific names. We used Baking Soda for the odor of these shells be remove and to remove it's stains. That day is a special day for us to have teamwork and practicing in doing our responsibilities as a student of the school.
Paksiw na Isda!!
Paksiw na isda is fish poached in a vinegar broth usually seasoned with fish sauce and spiced with siling mahaba and possibly containing vegetables. Paksiw na Isda is my favorite because my grandmother cooks this food everytime especially when we are having trouble in money for buying our food. I know that this food stinks so much especiallt when you do not brush your teeth after eating this food despite this fact I just like the " sabaw" of this food because actually I don't like eating fishes but because it smells and tastes good I want this food to eat it everytime with matching softdrinks but I know that drinking softdrinks can cause a health problem because of its acids.
Pink!!
Pink is a pale red color; the use of the word for the color we know today as pink was first recorded in the late 17th century.Roseus is a Latin word meaning "rosy" or "pink." Lucretius used the word to describe the dawn in his epic poem On the Nature of Things (De Rerum Natura). The word is also used in the binomial names of several species, such as the Rosy Starling (Sturnus roseus) and Catharanthus roseus. In most Indo-European languages, the color pink is called rosa.Pink!! This color really makes me happy everyday and makes my day complete and colorful throughout the day. I know that this color really expresses a girly type of person but this does not mean that you are a girl some boys also like the color pink. When I compare my favorites to others I found out that I have classmates and schoolmates who have the same favorite color as mine.

Mural Painting 2010!!
We have our mural painting started during the whole day of July 10,2010.We enjoyed because we shared jokes and some funny experiences. Me and Aubrey must interview an entrepreneur that day at F& C Guanco but unfortunately we decided to help our classmates paint and also we don't know if the person we must meet will be around at his office that day so instead of wasting our time in our own homes doing nothing we helped our classmates anyway it is a class project so it is worth it to help them. My mother scolded me when I arrived at home 4:00 in the afternoon because I didn't ask her permission to stay longer in school without having eated since morning and I disappointed her because she thought that I will interview the entrepreneur I told her. But I explained to her why did I arrived late and not eating lunch at home. But anyway while we are painting, the rain started splashing at our faces and on the painting we are doing. So we ran quickly searching for umbrellas just to cover our painters and of course the wet painting of ours. So we end the day taking pictures with Sir. Rene Secular. That was so memorable as well as disappointing for my mother.

Which will I choose my father or the books??
Second week of class we already use our books and I said to myself " Where will I get the money to buy these books??" at that time we are experiencing a great financial problem because we are also repairing our house for the preparation of the rainy season. My father is doing his best in looking for money especially he have a hard time working because of his broken leg at his right and also he don't have a permanent job he is just a family driver sometimes and he also have a shop in fixing cars but it does not have regular income. So now I don't have all the books only two new ones and three old ones but that is not enough for all the subjects I have. But I am trying to understand for as I said my father don't have regular job and my mother don't have work just in our home taking care of us. And also I am not just the only child we are actually three siblings and of course they are also studying. So now I am just listening to my teachers very well and I take down notes for me to have reviewer when we will have our quizzes or mastery tests and examinations.

Trip to Boracay!!
We went to Boracay last summer on April 21,2010. It was fun and it's my first time to visit this amazing place actually my second time because I went here with my family when I was still 3 years old but of course I didn't recognize the beauty of the place. But anyway, we just went here with our other relatives because we want to support my cousin, Dhannylaine Demontano, in gaining her confidence and her friend co- beach volleyball player to win this beach volleyball competition sponsored by Nestea Fit and of course to win the price worth 100,000.00 for the champion. They are competing with other schools like Adamson University, Bacolod State University, Camarines Sur University and etc... they are representing the school here in Iloilo which is The Central Philippine University Iloilo. We stayed there for about 4 days. 3 days passed by and they competed with different schools until the 3rd day which is the championship game in the women's division, under the heat of the sun, we watched her game and I felt that I will die because of heart- attack for the game is so suspense that I felt my heart will stop beating. But our shouting and jumping there is worth it because they won the game as the champion. So there we didn't just watch the Beach Volleyball game but also morning, noon, afternoon, evening and mid-night we swam throughout the days we stayed there. And so at the 4th day at 4:00 we started travelling going back to Iloilo. We treasure that moment as we have our vacation with my other relatives. IT WAS FUN.......

Responsibility!!!
This school year 2010-2011 I am part of the L-CBA Officers as a 2nd Year level President. I am not yet ready to serve my classmates and the school because I am just a new student and short girl but still I have no choice but to take this big responsibility sincerely and honestly because I made this decision just for me to experience what is the feeling how to run but unexpectedly I won against our currently Vice President Jeselle Laserna and when I knew about it that I won, I was shocked because as a new student no one knows me compared to an old student here. But I was touched that there are people who knows me and voted for me and trusted me to accomplish this big responsibilty that they have given me. So now I realized that being an officer is really exhauting because there are many proposals to make and activities to follow-up and another problem is that to remind your classmates and schoolmates to keep quiet every silence period and class hours. But I enjoyed being an officer also.
